Usually played into the prevailing wind, this is a challenging tee shot, a slice will find the trees; a hook the Wells road. The Approach to a smallish green which slopes from front to back can either be played short and to run, or with a well struck shot all the way to the green. Either way, in summer, many players find themselves with a tricky pitch up the bank at the back of the green.
