ASSISTANT GREENKEEPER
MENDIP GOLF CLUB - SOMERSET - SOUTH WEST & WALES
Mendip Golf Club is a modern 18-hole members club set in the beautiful Somerset countryside. Founded in 1908 it prides itself on being an inclusive and friendly golf club where golf is the priority.
Mendip Golf Club is looking to recruit a passionate, hardworking, and Greenkeeper. You will be supporting the Head Greenkeeper in managing this fantastic golf club to the highest of standards and play a very important role in assisting the dedicated greenkeeping team.
Key Skills and attributes:
A positive attitude towards work and be self-motivated
Have a good understanding of the game of golf
Be able to work to a high standard and have very good attention to detail
Work in a safety conscious manner
Want to progress their skills, training, and personal development.
Be a team player working well with colleagues.
Hold excellent interpersonal skills
Experience and Qualifications:
A basic knowledge of turf care
A desire to learn
Full UK driving licence
Desirable Skills:
Greenkeeping experience
Mechanically minded

Schedule
Shift pattern will vary depending on seasonal hours
Weekend work required (usually 1 in 4 weekends)
Salary: £25,355 per year depending on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate plus overtime
