A truly picturesque par 4, the drive must be accurate to find the fairway which starts to slope upwards right about driving distance. A mishit left may well join the ducks in the lake or the trees beyond whilst to the right, bunkers and more trees await. The approach to the green, like most at Mendip from probably an uneven lie, has to be accurate and well struck to find the raised green which slopes from right to left. The safer side to come in from is the right, but a ball finishing above the hole can lead to a nightmare putt or worse when the greens are running fast.
