Thank you very much for agreeing to host the above match at your club on Sunday 20th July 2025. The requested arrangements are:
Format- Five x Foursomes match-play starting at 09.00 – 18 holes.
Ten x Singles match-play starting at 13.30 - 18 holes.
Timings are provisional & subject to change at your discretion. Please advise of any change.
Course- Men's Competition Medal Tees
Reasonable Pin Positions (6, 6, 6)
G.U.R. areas clearly marked by white lines.

Practice- Would you please grant a courtesy practice round for the players the day before the match (unless we have previously agreed tee times for the practice round for either team) Each county will make their own practice arrangements where required.
Arrival- If you can offer coffee and bacon/breakfast baps to the players on arrival I am sure they would be pleased to order them. Each team will pay for their own breakfast requirements and will pre order wherever possible to assist.
Lunch- A light, one course meal to be served on a rolling basis. A pasta dish with salad and garlic bread would be ideal. We would be happy to hear of any other suggestions from your catering team. The first players should be ready to eat by about 12.30.
Evening- A selection of sandwiches & chips for 20/24 people, served on a rolling basis as the players come in, 16.45 would be a good time to start. Please ring me if you are in doubt over choice of food. There will not be a requirement for jackets and ties for the post-match refreshments.
Payment- The maximum number of meals should not exceed 24. The SGU management may authorise other expenditure on the day. Please provide 2 invoices, the SGU will cover all catering and SGU bar tab. The visiting county will be responsible for their breakfast needs, range, proshop and bar tab. Please forward both invoices to the SGU Secretary to facilitate payment .secretary@somersetgolfunion.co.uk
